I wrote this poem at the age of 10 yrs old. The words came to me, and was not a reflexion of my emotional state. I was awarded 1st place in The Annual Northwest Gifted Child Association's poetry contest.

A river of sorrow, flooding

her eyes

flowing down her pale

Complexion of blankness.

A shadow, not like mine in

The light,

But one of sadness, moving

Forward

like that of a dark storm;

Sitting motionless

as the storm of sadness

Overtakes her.

The wind pushes her dull

Grayish hair back...

Blowing,

Blowing.

Silently blowing the time

Away.
