Thick as Mud

Muddling between the
why and why not
was like plucking petals
off yellow daisyís.

He loves me--he loves me not!

Who would have thought
there are no exceptions
to the rules when it comes to love?

 It's all or nothing!

And why is it when you think
you are safe and secure
the light goes out and the tunnel
you are in caves-in!

Shovel that!

And where is my knight-in-shining armor?
Did he fall from his horse,
bumped his head becoming comatose,
or lethargic because
he could not see beyond the muddy water?

Oh-where-oh-where!

Or was my erratic behavior
of dodging lines
the spinster of my downfall
into a puddle of doom.

Splish-splash-fell-on-my-ass!

 Clear as mud!

Tracie,

Where was I when this was written?? JAYS what a strongly imaged piece, in verse and graphic--definately a keeper.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

That mud is distracting and such a contradicition towards our lives...for we were created from dust and to dust we shall eventually return...Your works are always grand

You pose some lifelong questions, Tracey. Most thought-provoking and I can certainly relate to this. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis

A very good question, Tracey, and one which many have asked themselves over the ages. Love that graphic.
