The people’s supplicant,
he pleads
their cause
and bleeds their purses;

He prays for the congregation
tiered before him,
teary-eyed at home,
preying on their fears.

An actor blessed
with thundering voice
and charismatic

Bible thumping
chest beating
finger pointing.

A performance
worthy of the Hollywood
liberals he despises.

A touch on their foreheads
and the sinners fall
to the floor
at his feet, defeated.

His helpers guide them
from the stage
and the staging
to their checkbooks.

His only hope
is that God
has a sense of humor.

Right on point. Preying on the weak and lying with a smile. Our history is laced with their misrepresentations. Way to cast them aflame once more.

Yes I think that I know who you speak of and my run in with a few of them is noted here but there are some that really are good at what they do. Joel Osteen, Charles Stanley and an old favorite Billy Grahmn who try to preach the word of God in the manner that they were give the ability to do so.

a lot of them are charlatains, and need to be put out of business, but not ALL preachers are that way. that's all i am going to say.

They are truly theives who need to be scrutinized and put out of business...Their followers are pathetic and need a hard slap in the face to bring them out of the stupor...
