Agony

He reaches out to me
When he knows I can’t reach back
The first time the pain was too much
The next time
I might start to enjoy the agony
How else could I explain this urge
To be in his arms again
Even for the fleeting moment
It would surely last
Willing to take the painful end
And end it would
Because I’m too old for the forever
And he is too young
For anything else

Men have been enjoying the company of younger women, since the beginning of time. Maybe more women should give it a try.
It could be fun fun fun.

Take care

Nice poem, Sue.

(I say the cut-off is you have a child older - anything else isn't too young ;-) )

A wise person once told me that we are never too young for the forever (love). Love comes in many guises, and if we let it pass by, then we miss happiness that will then go to someone else. A good write though Sis. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love, joy, peace, & (((HUGS))), Barbie

"if I have to...Then I may as well be."
