The sWORDS of the Poet are sharp and their blades shine over the tower of Justice.
"Epitomes of Weakness" flows and its message strikes responsible social awareness.

| Oh wow, wish I had found this earlier - you are the recipient of my very first BRAVO! Our nation is on the verge of a cultural civil war, where we will be split into a "have" and "have not" society, the sad part is we're letting this happen... very courageous write... |

This is a very moving piece. The depth of "feeling" is vast. There is a story in this poem.

It beats me all to hell, Sandy, how the righties love to clump all of we on the left under the "Socialism" umbrella... but then, why should they bother themselves with facts or truth when it's so much easier to remain ignorant and let Rush Limbaugh speak for them, eh?
Jaysus, this is a fab rant! I just get all goosebumpy when I read my thoughts written by someone I have a kinship with... effective, bold, unapologetic and entirely true!
Besides being joined at the hip to Air America, I also have you to bounce myself off of. (I very much enjoyed Judy's comments here... the woman speaks her mind AND offers a level playing ground). Sigh... I'll bet you have faaaaaaar more readers on this one than you do comments.... chickens! (grin) Keep it up! katy xox |

Wow this is powerful writing girl and I applaud you standing up for what you believe and the words you write. It is easy to write words and poems but to be willing to stand behind what you write takes a whole lotta heart and a whole lotta grits. Bravo Sandy.

| My somebody sure piddled in your corn flakes Sandy and I know this feeling we may not agree on some things in that I have gone through a lot. But you are entitled to your freedom of speech and people who use the bible or God's name to hurt others are in danger of the fires of hell themself. They just cannot see it and again I repeat what I have said all along what did Christ come for. I feel that they should accept responsibilities for their actions and stop hiding behind religion to do it. Pretty soon he is going to be mad and shake them loose. You rant if you want to. The only thing that I will say is this. The Democrat party certianly has not had shining examples of virtue and neither has the Republican party. Being a Christian means to be christlike. I would no more feel that certain liberals are hell bound nor would I say so because it simply is not for me to say. Fact some of the finest christians are liberals and go to church with me. The thing is like my mother said do not send your soul to hell arguing over things like politics, races etc. Agree to disagree and listen to one another. There are enough zealots out there. Heck they consider me a harlot in the first degree and okay that means I am first. |

| edwin, When I wrote this poem, I didn't know you were one of the people Mr. David wrote about in his article. I did not put your name in my poem, you inserted yourself there. Looks like a case of the shoe fit and wasn't very comfortable. WARNING TO ALL OTHERS WHO COME HERE: IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN MY POEM, PLEASE ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS AND DON'T BLAME ME. |

A bit of bitter anger here? Its sad that you think all conservatives are religious nuts when most are just grounded rational free-thinkers who just don't like the idea of Socialism. Call it what it is, for it has infiltrated and caused irreparable damage to the credibility of the Democratic Party, and continues to erode the fabric of our great nation.
