God’s allies need to come together
Singing the song “We Are The Children”.
Where the diversity of all the world
Is enlightened in independent music.

Some would have all of us cloned,
In one image to follow others at will.
Yet the heart beats of songbirds
Travel the lands of different sounds.

Those that want to silence discussion,
Will use labels to mute harmony.
For their dictatorship is compliance
Using intimidation and coercion.

As neighbors would yours command
That you set a certain set of values.
According to their confining beliefs
Or accept yours in a free society.

The winds are unimpeded thoughts
Traversing clouds of different forms,
Breezing minds of different cultures,
Weathering change of diversity.

Hugging the French as human beings,
They in turn would hug the Germans,
Who then hug the Jews in respect ,
As they hug the Palestinians in peace.

The chain of humanity does not lie
Within the boundaries of one nation.
But of world neighbors sharing a bond
Of respect of individual differences.

So those politicians that expose hate,
And anyone that uses labels of bigotry,
To condemn in mass any nation.
Are they not despots of past abuses?

The poetry of words is understanding
That the spirit of verse will fly free
Unconfined to only one interpretation
Hugging everyone with its message.

Very sadly true, in today's plastic, corporately run, homogenous, junky fast food world - and to me, such a terrible shame. Diversity is truly a marvelous thing - if we only let it be.
