"Upon My Bloody Lip"

Everyday until the sun goes down

Behind horizon across the deep blue sea

{On the eastern horizon that is…

in dreams anything is possible okay}

And the day starts peeping at me again

My thoughts are with you

And late at night

When the stars of the night

{When not cloudy…anyways}

My dreams are warm and comforting

Like the sun shining down on me…

You come creeping right into my head

{Yes it’s that big... okay;}

I cannot see you…

{But “I” do… remember this is a dream after all}

But I do feel your touch of love

As a thought of you

Gives this heart a twist

And leave a little pain within

Like the sparks of a fire

Jumping the stars at night

Like a shooting Star

Suddenly darting down from so high

I need to close my eyes in a sigh

Dreams and thoughts of you

Comforts me…

As I demand you to stay

Within my silly thoughts just a little longer

And to let my smiling face

Drink a tear of love

That’s running down my face with grace

To come to rest

With a big old SPLASH

Upon my bloody lip

Okay!!

The sun shines for all of us. Even when the days seem gray the shine can be found inside. Great poem and the tune lends itself to high stepping fun!

Lingers sweetly, Tinka. The rhythm and feel of this poem is like being on a small boat at sea at night, gently rocking back and forth under the stars, and then BAM--up comes the sun...

Tinka,

Soulfully and majestically penned, "Upon My Bloody Lip" is a skillfully versed poem whose symbolism reaches deep into the well of life -- and brings up truisms and wisdom ... truly an awe-inspiring write my friend!!
