Wait I think I won something

I

Wealth stops in mirror
of shadow living
in shallow pride

Sing me to places
lingering a time
kept by shadow
on floor

Will we stop
and believe in
window left open
to feel a
voice crying

Shill and pill
left in shame
of a silent chill
dropping behind
a burning sun

Kill and will
struggle to
get me past
sitting in
a park
justice is left
alone praying

II

Climb hill
to view soul
of life stopping
only to view
The Child my salvation

Want and need
leave heart on
a merry chase
across please
sought fading

Every wind
a message of
lingering dreams
always just on
other side of
no where

Love burns
like a red iron
placed to brand
mind in grief
given up on dreams

Lilly asks no place
to rest as willing
hands place in
place of honor
kept by a coffin

III

Healing balm
leaves in cup
a bitter feel
of path dried up
souls seen pleading

Withering weed
separates good
from evil on a
bridge of life
stopping only
to pause

Angels sing
as loud as evil
thoughts invading
human pores a
few sad hours lost

Chains left
in the rattle
skip mental images
of pain wondering
staid silenced old

A golden crown
slips past eye
in a pint of
slithering snake
dying fast or
faster still

IV

Squeak of fingers
dancing on strings
bless The Child and
curse dawn waiting

Let early
moronic steel
valance all
left in taught
sea pulling me
to end path
death

During view of
night stars
lift a ghost
beams drop
in place
predetermined
by God

Foundation is
wanton wife
as she watches
his body
leave home
wandering lost
soul

All deals left
in screams incomplete
in throat sheets
of pleasure lost
to youth born

V

Cast in water of
hope placed in
vigilance left
to see warmth
seeking love

Breath of all
roses red as
the dreams kept
in image colored
glass seen

Faith in hope
takes a ride
in pride left
in full view
of heaven sought
after life

Streets of gold
no need to hold
in wish or want
only bless
The Child
time is livid

Head falls to
pillow sleep comes
as the shadow
fills eyes
hands hold me

VI

Wealth stops
in silver mirror
of black shadow
living in
shallow pride

Sing me to a place
testing a time
kept by clocks
shadow on a
failing floor

Heart and soul
pause here
for one last moment
seeking gifts
of God given

Place of future
a better one
promised escapes
comprehension now

Fingers hold me
in known place
one more moment
no escape

Don't look so sad
it's over
