...I love to write and I write to live.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the risk of being redundant,
Poetry writing is what I do.
I love to play with a brand new thought,
See which direction it wants to go,
And laugh as it takes me for a ride.
At the risk of repeating myself,
Words have made me a better person.
A lot of words have been born to me,
They're my children, these words of mine,
And I'm proud of every one of them.
At the risk of being redundant,
                    Poetry writing is what I do.
I love to write and I write to live.
Poetry is why I haven't killed.
And it's the reason I'm not insane.
At the risk of repeating myself,
Words have made me a better person.
When I have a bad day, words are there,
They don't laugh at me and call me names,
And call me the Poet that I am.
Without words, how do we writers even begin to express ourselves?? Beautiful and heartfelt write; keep on sharing your wondrous gift with us! We are all for the better because of it! BRAVA on yet another job well done!
Beautiful poem Karla. Without words, though I seldom run short of them, I don't know how I would deal with the challenges of life. Sometimes when I want to write something but don't have anything on the surface of my mind, I move from direction to another and never stop until a particular theme picks some strength to touch brakes
thanks for this excellent offering
Very well said for us all sweet Karla. My father's wisdom is here as well...he taught his children "Chew on your words and once you've tasted them, then spit them out">
Take care,
Thnx sis for this wonderful and very true work. My words are why I haven't committed suicide, as that is what these words are for. To be my alter ego, to be who I am, to be my refuge against the harsh realities of this world, to be my friend when I need someone to talk to. This and more, are what our words that we write are for. May the Lord jesus bless you and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart,joy to the world, peace on earth, ((((((((((MANY, MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGGGSSSSS)))))))))), and a very Happy Easter, Barbie
LOL
your 3rd stanza!!!
You know, I think creativity has a life and spirit of its own
Things like poetry, can create themselves....with us as the vessel or channel. Its such a gentle gift we can allow ourselves. We don't need many supplies. It does not endanger our lives (hopefully lol), and it will not fade away (depending on storage)
I love writing........and being part of this creative tribe here at AD
thanks Karla
