Philosophical humor, as it were...or not...

When everything is coming my way, I must be in the wrong lane…

Of late I have found better employment,

Or rather they seem to have found me,

They seem to be happy with my speed,

And my ability to do the job better than most newcomers,

And I have found a job where I do receive satisfaction and enjoyment…

Better money I do make,

Rufuz and I do eat better finally for god sake,

Our lives seem more than a little having my cake,

We both do also get to eat it too maybe someday soon steak,

I just hope I can for sometime to come make no mistake…

You have to understand,

I have never in the past been able to “play well with a band”,

I mean that I have not been able to keep from screwing up,

It seems it does eventually come, even when I did the best I planned…

Maybe my worrying with regards this problem,

Will help keep me from re-committing the obvious,

For those that have not got this problem I am most envious,

Just once in my life would I appreciate some personal self-control,

Just once in my life would I be happy if my plans did work out,

Yes, I would be most of that desirous…

Still do I suffer,

From worries of past stupidities,

Guess on myself I am tougher,

On the world up to this point,

I have found myself to be much rougher…

Yet life does go on,

Be you in the wrong lane or the right,

I still struggle to someday arrive in the light,

From this poem you may derive anything you might…

well said.

i, too, have always been a 1-man band. sometimes that worked out...most times not. depended alot on who my boss was. i've come to believe that that "loner" instinct is just a part of my additive personality. so many years hiding in a bottle, by myself - alone, retarded my abilities to socialize and "interact". F**k 'em if they can't take a joke, but it did 'cost me professionally & financially. hang in there pal. best a' luck.

I derive that you are in a much happier state now, Ed - so quit worrying so much, and go with the flow - and get some steak for Rufuz!
