What Are You Writing For?

Rated "G" by the Author.

I write for something to do,
when boredom rides through.
Writing occupies my mind,
makes my dull moments more kind.
Writing is like an antidote,
something similar to the tv remote.

It is important that I write my best,
but I don't make it a contest.
I do enjoy the pleasure,
write things from my hearts treasure.
Might as well kill two birds,
while we're shooting our words.

I'm more of a writer than reader,
still some time I still need her.
Reading also helps fill the gap,
when boredom comes to slap.
Searching for words to say,
helps fulfill my lonely stay.

G

Healthy Springtime, Poet!

I enjoyed reading this creation of Yours for its contents of wit-wise art through its lines of poetic beauty.
