"my equals seldom fire to fear my scorn
'and prey, the brilliant pattern cannot warn"

Dedicated to the scarce few clueless men who didn't recognize. Real men may want to wear their asbestos glasses while reading :-)

if you're gonna go
then go like a man
go with some dignity
with your package in hand

if you're gonna go
then walk don't run
don't shoot your own foot off
and try to hand me the gun

i could say i'm disappointed
but that wouldn't matter
a love isn't love
if it's so easy to shatter

i don't cry in a corner
or go down quietly
it's not that i'm arrogant
just a lack of false humility

what puts me in my place
is nature i'm a woman
and "hell hath no fury"
when i see the shiv is comin'

i don't need to be the man
i just need to keep my honor
so i show no mercy
to the unworthy sperm donor

kindness is free
but mercy is costly
a false smile is as bad
as judging someone unjustly

so when you see the jig is up
or the game is going nowhere
abandon and abort
stop your playing and don't go there

if you're gonna go
then go like a man
go with some dignity
with your package in hand

so if you don't care about me
walk away before i know
then i might be sorry
that you had to go

such a man doesn't know how to go like a real man ... isn't that always the problem?
