Dedicated to some kind people I know. I'm still working on being this way. Thanks Sandie for relating me to this poem. |

No matter how difficult life was on him, he still refused to be a victim. His attitude was grand, not typical of a troubled man. How could this be, with all of his agony?
Each and everyday, he wasn't uptight in anyway, Never mean and evil, seemed to totally ignore the devil. He had a smile for everyone, his aura had the glow of the sun.
Being around him was kind of intimidating, but his wisdom I wasn't eliminating. I asked, how can you be so cool? He stated, each and everyday I plan, to be this type man, no use giving in, and letting the devil win.

| My Uncle George was like this. Loved everyone. Smiled through the pain and never complained. Thank you, G... |

| I know a guy like that at work, he never stops smiling and making others do so as well. Me? I don't find it so easy to be smilin' all the time...though I try...like you! Peace, Ed & Rufuz |

| Not me Sandie, this fits a few people I know. One of them actually told me this ending. One of them worked for me. One of the best people I ever knew. Always pleasant and friendly but had problems like crazy. He use to always say, "hey Grady, if we're so smart why aren't we rich." this guy had sugar diabetes and other medical problems. I use to always think, "I'm going to try and be like this also." G |

Hhhhhmmmmmm!...Are you talking about Grady the great? Heeeheee! Wonderful self-portrait, Grady!...and I will agree to this whole-heartedly!
The fact is -
rather to have the devil beat you, you beat them first.
Wonderful write Grady!
