Sitting beside two Goth girls;
Black hair, black clothes,
silver studs in the knee-length boots,
pale daughters-of-Dracula complexions.
I could be in Whitby for a Goth convention,
standing on a crag
looking out on the cold North sea,
but I'm having a coffee break
from learning Swedish,
and the blonde thread running
through my thoughts
has been momentarily lost,
a shadow darkens the sun.
Sneaking a glance at her chill loveliness;
no fangs or love bite from the master
blemish her ivory neck,
and I laugh behind my newspaper,
laugh at the adult restraint
I have to honour,
laugh at the sentence,
Welcome to my castle!
She turns to look my way
but I have to get going
- Age before Beauty -
before the light of those eyes
makes me break
my thousand-year silence.

This composition takes me on trip to imagination... "Goth Girl" strikes my learning mind.
Keep on posting Your jewels.

This is great, I love it- as a goth girl at heart, if no longer in dress and makeup, I love this.

I love this, Kenny. Somehow, you make me feel as though I am right there watching it all happen. The whole experience stirs something in my soul. Superbly done, my friend. Love and peace. Regis

... and before she drives a stake into your heart! Actually, I bet she's just on her way round to look after her Granny and to take the little Yorkie for a walk - no, that WOULD be Whitby! You would cut quite a dash as Goth Man... could start a new trend at Burtons; they could do with vamping up. Braw!! :))
