Questions of life and death lost in the words

I

One of the few who could see beyond the face of love

taking every bit of life he could find in her heart of joy

all we felt was the voices of those before laid in comfort

in the grass of youth finding passion as the perfect escape

Flowers dance on the hill

as the wind blows strong

small lights scream fight

all the cars filled with young

back seat lovers understand

II

Out of the hell created by demanding society

children bare self and soul for the vision expected

prepare for the crash burn and die of yesterday

all is up for grabs female to male sailing in a troubled sea

She is the first of the trill

taste all he has can it be wrong

Officerís intrusion is flashlight

county sings a message sung

Momma from jails picks up her little man

III

Tried a stand man moves to the hill to watch the fire of desire grow

shadows of the ghost before dance to the beat hearts singing natures song

long in the evening bursting stars dropping fast in view as it turns

child becomes the adult with an empty feel lost in expectation died in a car

Little is the wild side of being

in a world filled with pain

keep the tears falling

a scripted dream

left in the sad

IV

Family walks the path to a place to lay a blanket down

flowers seeking the sound of laughter found in soul search

wonder is the birth of eyes seeing all that is real and used

place is a heart on the mend of truth and value we pretend

Save the child in seeing

falling stars in rain

heard the child calling

tip a bit of Beam

all of us have been had

V

Slow the mind takes the world for what it is a place lost

ideal kept in the storyteller lay to rest by reality seen

stage of time blesses him on the street corner singing

she does his bidding for a time but even love will die

Creativity left on a barstool

in a time that lived

only her fragile mind

danger is the drink left

                                                      see you a round
