Just a poem, but I had a reason for writing it. For years I was a victim of hocuspocus, especially with family and friends. Most of the fools were into the negative traits, being jealous, envious and mean. I broke free from the spell. Anyone who popped out of the womb with a full load, I salute you. Some of us weren't so lucky. Until we wake up in life and control our own minds, others will.

Others try to affect our focus,
with their hocuspocus.
They arrive with their program,
then try to grand ham.
Put us under their spell,
help us to heaven or hell.

They try to go for our ego,
head us in their direction of flow.
Or keep us down,
when we should be up and around.
They'll cloud our mind,
cover our eyes blind.

It starts when we're young at age,
during the times we're not so sage.
Then continues until,
we refuse to swallow the pill.
A mind functioning on its own,
is like a dog chasing a bone,
might as well leave it alone,
right or wrong.
