We are blinded by their fame

Unable to see their pain.

The hurt they hide so well

Until it comes out

In ways they can not control.

We are blind to their pain

They hurt just as we do

Cry and grieve too,

Yet somehow, someway

We expect them to be

Extraordinary,

Have this magic ability

To hide their pain

Without breaking

We don't want to see

What they feel

Instead we expect them

To entertain us

Without educating us...

Many of todays greatest stars, turn to drugs or alcholol, this one I dedicate to Jo Dee Messina, who is a recovering alcholoic, she sought help so many don't...

JoDee is one of my most favorite female country stars. And yes, if only more people would take the time to realize, that even though they can sing and entertain us, the are just human beings too, with feelings, desires, hopes, just like all the rest of us. And when they seem to fall into drugs or alcoholism or worse, it seems we whisper bad things about them, forgetting that we too are addicts in some way. This is a wonderful tribute Michelle. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy tot he world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Wonderful tribute to JoDee Messina; too many stars hurt, yet they hide it well on stage. They may be famous, but they are people too, and they have problems, too, just like the rest of us. Good message in this write!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
