Does Muhammad speak in tongues,
Does Christendom become
specious clarity of nothing?

Do genes protect one sex,
do wardens scribe to hex
atrocities unfounded?

Does Allah kiss off me,
Will Jesus set me free
in heavens said to come?

Donít acts of kindness show
what we all feel and know
as realityís advancement?

Canít individuals reap
the company they keep
instead of mass intolerance?

Donít gods bespeak themselves,
setting up Manís leveled shelves
for replacement of true wisdom?

Does equality not give
us all the right to live
without fear of retribution?

Do you think that you can change?
Do you know your mind can range
without the tongues of gods?

Does the scent of freedom's spring
just beyond your golden ring
Sing -- stop, and listen to your soul.

Freedom is some times a bane as it is used for brainwashing into believing the false and adding confusion to the oen already confused. The God's speak from within us and yet we close our mind and open our ears which hears only the tongues of humans and not God's.

A wonderful and thoughtful write, Erin.

This is a good poem. It is a well thought out one. You put mankind on trial, more or less, and instead of condemning it, you give it a way out. I really got intoo this one.

Stop reading my mind.....

Unpopular to question these days...but so necessary for us to grow and evolve into beings of light.

Keep singing my mind,
