some days I wonder
can I go on loving you this way
there isn’t always much to hang onto
but as the days get longer
and the air gets warmer
I keep asking myself
are we the light
are we the fire?

Yes!

always here
waiting
never hesitating
a hand forever reaches out to you
time after time
sending love without hesitation
happily devouring your smiles without reservations

life is peculiar
is it not?

no longer suffering
our indifferences
no longer existing out of necessity
or living a life of superficiality

our lives are busy
we multi-task
and look through walls
built rock hard
of concrete, wood and steel

our minds are free
…at last

and without confinement
what is a home
or a locality
or a municipality?

we are everywhere
and not just here
or there

we are dreamers
we are solutions

we are creators
with results

one plus one
equals…
one of two options

it all depends on which is one
and which is the other

so when contemplating a summation
remember the result will always be same

it’s the integer that counts
