A series of Pre World War Two postcards of the USA

Grand Central Station the name along conjures up such adventure
The grand building a fitting starting point for travelling over a vast country
To the west following the pioneers journeys to the Pacific Ocean
To the south where the unfortunate slaves had to grow the cotton
And north towards the American Canadian border
No matter which direction the railway line progressed
There was a State the size of some countries
