Fish Food…

They have to eat in someway,

On the surface they swim to get the suns rays,

Caught here in a wave, this surfer should do an about face,

And make it to the shore in a really fast race…

They are always there,

Even when we swim we are amongst them,

If only we could give them one leg or an arm,

Then they would be satisfied and cause no more harm…

We try not to be afraid,

We surfers on a wave,

But when they do nudge us from below,

You can hear me at least, all the way to the beach I do bellow…

They have to eat too,

But there are so many species of blues,

Some are quite large & cannot out swim a shark,

But I think they have found that man,

While on land the predator at the top of the chain,

While in water, man is so slow, that it doesn’t take much for the shark to for a meal, gain…

Someone's been reading a few shark stories. Thank you for not making me feel I wrote the only shark themed piece on here. I keep thinking my short story which I wrote about a ghost shark here. I keep thinking that graphic a friend of mine has on her journal -- same picture but the caption of the guy saying, 'F--K!'

That is one big shark. And be very careful out in that beloved ocean of yours, my friend - they seem to be visiting our shorelines much more often these days - looking for lunch.

I know exactly how that surfer feels right now
While on the beach swimming,
I saw a huge shadow swimming in my direction,
I was on a rubber raft
I couldn't get out of the water fast enough,
a shock expression on my face and out of breath
I thought I was happy to have out swam a shark
The inn keeper of my lodging was laughing his ass off.
take it easy kid he said , it's only a school of fish.
well that school of fish was moving as one individual.
talk about a scary moment, thats the reason I no longer
swim on the beach.
