when was the last time
you saw the end?

when was the last time
you saw the begin' ta' end

for me
it was today
easy ts' say
easy ta' see'

my dad
his good times & bad
his smile & his glads

but today
had it's own sad way
of bein'
of seein' it's play

my dad passed
his own way
not much else
ta' say

he still try's
ta' say
not sure why's
that old man has his own ways

my old Man
took his stand
had His Ways

my old man knows
how the song is played
my dad knew his tune or 2

my dadddy do
a poem
or a song
or a wrong
or a tune
4 u

he couldn't spell
ya' cuuda' hardly tell
what he had ta' yell
oh well

my daddy just sang
the words that he rang
the words that lang
and lingered
there on his finger
or a toe
or a does-see-does
who knows
why my daddy wrote
hell knows the note
that that old fart brought
but he sought in his mind
a rhyme
that he could find
there in his mind

a harsh tune
a full moon'
a cartoon
an afternoon
with you
my old daddy
did that 2
when he was happy r blue
my daddy sang 4 u

old days
and old ways
when he had sumpin' ta' say
or a few words ta' play
my daddy would stay
my daddy would lay
in a getle slumber
in a words number
that would rhyme
that was
daddies's time
clear as a bell
my daddy rhyemd

and end the end

it was me
not he
ya' see
who rhymed all the time
but now his time

he's dyin'

and me?

a ? with no answer.
a ? to be answered.
and me ?

who can you see?
who do i be?
where am I?
where do i lie?

a ? 4 me 2 answer.

4 me.

nice poetry.

Oh Steve, Steve, Steve, THE END is so tragic and bittersweet. I want to offer you my sincerest condolences in your loss. As one who lost her mother, I do understand the pain of losing one's parents. My sorrow is with you and I wish you peace.
