This is Dustin Thompson, age 13. He lives in Bakersfield, California. He desperately needs our prayers. At 12 yrs of age Dustin had sarcoma cancer. With God and chemo, he survived. Now at 13 yrs of age he has developed lung cancer. The doctors give him one to five years to live. This is terrible for an adult to comprehend, but for a teen it has to be worse. I have asked for your prayers before, my den friends, but now I am begging. This child needs our deepest prayers. I thank you in advance. God bless all of you....

Dear Lord, I come to you tonight
With a humble heart and soul
A prayer for a thirteen year old boy
He needs Your hand to hold
His name is Dustin and I'm sure
He's already called on You
I know that so many have prayed
Please listen to my prayer too

************************************

A typical teenager who loves to
Ride his skateboard in the wind
May his strength be as a tall tree
With limbs that never bend
He loves to write poetry, rap songs
A teenager through and through
He's found out he has lung cancer, Lord
Is there anything You can do

************************************

I pray that one of your angels
Will envelope him with his wings
May he feel your presence every day
With the blessings that you bring
Send healing to this young lad
Who's life has just begun
Remove the cancer from his body, Lord
May Thy will be done

Hi Linda,

Dustin certainly has my prayers and thoughts as do all the children who suffer from this terrible disease, I lost my father to this, which was heartbreak enough...but it's even worse for these poor kids, I hate seeing children suffer...yet I admire they're strength and resilience bless them all...may we soon rid the planet of this scourge of mankind.

I am not good at dealing with pain and sickness when it comes to kids, Linda, and I don't often pray, but for this young man I pray to the heavens that if anyone is to die, allow it to be me, and allow this young man to have a life full of happiness...I hope you and he find peace, Ed & Rufuz
