All we are is food for...

In youth we ask the questions
We ask and wait with healthful
Body and mind and spirit
In later life we still ask the questions
With stiff joints and fuzzy thinking
But with a more mature spirit

When we are disintegrating
Piles of food for starving animals
And we don't care to ask any more

--inspired by hearing about a man who left his body to wild animals, wanting to show his love for them by giving his dead body to them...

A bit gross is all I can relate to this inspiration. His body, his wish. Still gross. You wrote a good poem, nevertheless.
