by Henry Burt Stevens

among the silences
one hundred sixty eight
among the empty chairs
acres of tears and pain

innocents-the pawns
of hate, of intolerance
whose interaction with
fertiliser and planning

overwhelmed a nation
believeing, pretending
policital murder could
only arise off shore

now still dazed by
the eventual murder
from intercontential
forces far away

the threat again
from one of millions
of our people
like-minded and capable

that one day will step
forward to murder
as Timothy James did
and then another....

Sadly, we can only
take hate out
of our lives
one at a time

each person
for themselves
must do it alone.

a specific date of a write Henry, some people can't figure anything to do but hate and be jealous. Hate is the easiest but the hardest, we pay in the end. In love we pay also but not as bad as the hater.
