My Dad died last night.
He passed on into The Light.
He'd fought The Fight...

and He'd won
now He's gone
and i'm alone
bare ta' the bone

What will "I" Do?

Haven't got a Clue.

right now, i'm just blue.

and so I write
to fend off The Night.

and so I write
to feel The Light.

My Dad died last night.
and so,
I write.

Writing is healing. I know how you feel, I still miss my dad. I
offer you my condolences, I am sorry to hear this. I'm sure he will forever be with you and between the lines of your writings.

Your dad is now with your mom and looking down on you pain free and happy...what more can one say, after these many months of long nights and days, now you too can rest, know dear friend that you did all you could, that you definitely did your level best...Ed & Rufuz

Dear friend and fellow poet, you have our sympathy and well wishes during your time of sorrow. Your poem says it all. It's natural that you feel such a great loss now. Let's hope that time will ease your pain, and relatives and friends your loneliness. It was good that you were able to take care of him during his illness. That was a gift of love and respect that he must have been grateful for. Well done, Steve! Blessings to you. May his soul be at peace.
