A re-write

IN TRANSITION

Full of contradictions
I am hard to understand:

What to expect if I am dying?
How to behave while being born?

The Fine Art Of Drowning
is not a spectator sport;
birthing pangs and death throes
confuse
with their lack of definition.

A butterfly's true -coloured wings
emerge damply fragile;
having dissolved their musty covers
they harden to the strength
of burnished bronze...

For you, all this is as interesting
as watching paint dry.

But for me this is the bleeding
water-colour canvas of my life;

My masterpiece:
Prepare for its unveiling.

Kate,

This is stunning, seriously, that ending made me sit up
straight and pay close attention to what your words
were really saying. Very strong work!

Let me say...one of the reasons that I enjoy reading you is because you make me think......as well as smile. Sometimes I need that for a different perspective. I always find a universal and personal flavor in your words that I can relate to.....yes....your masterpiece...is a masterpiece.....for those of us lucky enough to behold. Love the power, direction, realization, and humanity of your words here........wtg........pax A
