“All men have a place
for you in their hearts.
Some reveal but others not.”

You are the bridge,
which rests in between
the love and the lust
as an oasis of hope
that floats in the desert,
and is threatened with burial
by the sands of time.

Oh! Your body is
a wooden boat
with full of holes.
And rugged-
rugged is your core
as the virgin
cliff of the shore.

But yet, you ferry
the voyagers
from one shore
to the other
without dipping
a drop of water
in their core.

All I know of you
is that nothing could be
further from you.

You are the extreme end.
You are the extreme end.

You, as the democracy
give everyman
the right to be wrong.
and the wrong to be right.

Alas, all men are not as honest about harboring the whores in their hearts until they become one. Excellent write my friend. Love and luck. Mikii

trust you to write a poem that cuts to the core and ekes out drops of recognition, understanding and compassion for those we'd otherwise dismiss. excellent!

This is so stirring and soulful; so compassionate and achingly close to the bone - for all of us in one way or another, I think. There is the Mary Magdalene and the Judas in all of us, perhaps, and we can feel the tearing on both sides of this fence. Perhaps the whore is the tear that holds the frayed fabric of society together... or, at least, her soul does... Makes me weep. LOL Kate xx

Strong and profound, Bhuwan. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be a whore, (not a real one at least) but giving them credit due, they do a job most would never wish to undertake and most do it with a certain amount of finesse and style. It is said that being a whore is the oldest profession, I cannot dispute that point, but I have often wondered why whores continue to have clients?
Take care,
