I have a lovely granddaughter
Named Jacqueline
She truly loves her name
A beautiful little girl
All the same.

On a lovely morning
In mid June
I heard her waking up
Ah! She stretched
Ummmmmmm, She Moaned
While stretching her little arms
From east to west.
Stretching her tiny little chest
Rubbing her eyes open
With tiny closed fist
She jumped of the bed, onto the floor
Slowly walked across to open the door
Why?

I did not hear anyone knock
Knock! Knock! knock!
Nor did I hear the doorbell ring
Ding Dong, Ding Dong
To let a Kangaroo in
Kangaroo?
Why I have never!
I have heard of a Bunny Rabbit
I have heard of Tom the turkey
Or is that, a turkey name Tom?
Can he trim hedges, or cut grass?
Can he collect flowers at least?

Can he cook or stir fry?
Can he make a roux?
to mix with soup, like I do?
I don't know, Do you ?
Nobody knows, you know why?
He is just a Kagaroo
That lives in Jacqueline's dreams
You silly pooh.

This would work even better as a children's picture book because with these words and illustrations added to it, it would bring a child's imagination alive and have them giggling. It would really come across strong as a book- you should think about sending it to some publishers for kids- if you search the market for a publisher that publishes a similiar style to yours, I bet you can get this published- and the best part if that you don't even need an agent to sell kids books. This was alot of fun, and I bet your granddaughter LOVED it!!
