PS: Is that a heartshaped birthday cake? The picture brought back memories of my childhood with birthday cakes baked by my grandmother. :-)

|Thnx Linda and this is very true...most of us here in AD have lived through those times...times of happiness, times of horror, times of terror walking down the street.
"Through all eras, promises have been made that have not been kept and dreams have been dreamed that have not come true. I still believe in dreams, though, because these are up to us." I agree with Alexandra in this. My dreams have not come true yet, but that are coming for sure. But it has taken 52 years for these dreams to be coming true.
And, I loved the trains of back in the 50's & 60's. The old Milwaukee Road, is no more, and that is a shame. The train I took from Iron Mountain, to Calumet is no more, and that too, is such a shame. WE baby boomers are becoming older, and the younger generations want everything streamlined, everything electronic, everything to do for them, so they do not have to even get up. Remember the song by Zager & Evans called "In The Year 2525"? Well that song is coming true now, way before that year is even here. I believe, that by the time our grandchildren are of age, there will economic downfalls in many industries, because the electronics industry will have taken over completely.
"One step up and two steps back" no truer words were ever spoken. It seems that when we just make enough headway for the benefit of everyone, and everyone is happy, someone comes along with a "better" idea, and then everyone has to take those two steps back.
It is a darn shame the way things are turning out.
May the Lord Jesus bless you and yours, and all of those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
"If I have to be this girl in me, Then I may as well be."

|unfortunately, the dream died before it had a chance to live ... its remnants are what we have to deal with now ... it's a sad situation but i hope we learn how to reinvent our shortcomings ... maybe it's time for a new dream ...|
