It's not my problem...

Why should I care what they earn,

those who make the clothes I wear.

They're only foreigners after all

so tell me just why I should care?

It's got nought to do with me,

as long as the prices stay so cheap

is the real important bit. After all,

I've got myself in luxury to keep.

Why should I care what they eat,

those who live a continent away.

They're only foreigners after all,

I say as I eat my fourth meal today.

They should find some way to provide!

It's not that I mean to be so rude

but it is not my problem. After all

I rarely bin more than half my food

Why should I care what they think,

those who suffer upon my TV screen.

They're only foreigners after all

and the pain is on some distant scene.

It shouldn't be me that spends his cash

to bail out victims of Nature's bite.

There's charities to do that. After all,

I always attempt to appear contrite.
