The Freeway is Not Free

"Being without seeing / Forgot and got shot"

The Freeway is Not Free

for the lost

Common atrocity
Being without seeing
Middling monstrosity
The freeway is not free

Zigging and zagging
Giving no leeway
To those left lagging
Lost on the freeway

No lolligagging
Forgot and got shot

But may I ask for more?
Starving satiety
But may I ask what for?
Drunken sobriety

If I wonder why
The freeway is not free
You show me the door
Prodding with piety

Just do it do or die
Not a society
For the likes of me
You passed humanity

Your incivility
Has left us all behind
But now you cannot see
Since you are driving blind

Being without seeing
Forgot and got shot

Is this why you call queer
Those who cannot agree
With what your leaders say
Trying to find God here?

Is queer the name which you will give to me
If I say you have gone insane today?
What have you done with the crucified one
Impatient number one? Where is the sun?
