"Well worth waiting for there is nothing more / For me to do but just to wait and see"

Transcendental Sonnet #1361:
Love is Patient

I have discovered I can be alone
I am content and I am continent
My celibacy is a part of me

Or is it all the hurt which I have known?

Perhaps I fear that if I mount the horse
I will be thrown yet again in due course
If it is the latter does it matter?

There is only one whom I have in mind
One heart to trust when all else has gone bust
I think it best to leave the rest behind

I have had some false starts with some false hearts

If only she could feel the same for me
Well worth waiting for there is nothing more
For me to do but just to wait and see

Magnificent sonnet Stevie. It speaks volumes from your heart. You have so much love to give.
Sending you warmth across the distance.

This is such a beautiful sonnet and so sad and emotional.
Which I truly understand and feel but living while waiting getting to spend time with ourself makes love so much better and special when love does come to our door.
A very beautiful poem
Thanks Steven

Great write Steven about a subject you know well and I hope the oject of your affection, although might be well worth waiting for does not keep you waiting instead of getting out and loving someone who is able to return your love. I know I have been there before.

Read the Passage in Romans chapter 5. Love is Patient
and kind, does not hurt or steal, .... It is beautiful. Your title made me think of that passage. I had not read it in a while.

Time to check my Headache group, then I shall write a poem, my
Muse and I, before bedtime, hopefully! I am up late tonight.
Past midnight, OMG!
Love ya!
