Thirst For Freedom

Words never to have been born,
Intimidated into non-existence,
Grave of breathing upon time.
Feeling for others who were taken,
Maybe could have changed places,
Soul searching reasoning for life.
Head banging dreaming to be heard,
Drowned within, who gives a dam!
One solitary person fighting alone,
Ghost upon the shadows of reality,
Clarity abused into silence by others,
Labels of termination and sorrows.
Frustrations of forced conservatism,
Censorship trying to mold opinions,
Branding open air discussions, sins,
Imprisoned by dictators of poetry,
Seeing spoken words as a menace,
Conformists cloning narrow views.
Who are Americans to change it?
People of power using religion,
Increasing their agendas of wealth,
While the streets of poverty grow.
People aborting half of America,
Deeming them not worth saving.
Welfare now a corporate right,
Politicians on corporate payrolls,
Employees conforming to policy,
Strict guidelines of 24/7 actions,
Slaves of the new plantations,
Masters who are beyond reproach.
Why must IRA’s support outsourcing?
Lavish CEO benefits of kingdoms,
Mergers keep depleting employment?
Combining corp-government alliances,
Selling of America to overseas interests,
Have no vote in Wall Street’s business.
Republicans who have divided a country,
Saying we should burn judges in effigy!
Or at least condemn them to life sentences.
Congress becoming the judge and jury,
And we know how great they do their job,
In the social security of our future welfare.
People of Savings and Loan fame dictating
Their views on saving social security,
Having ticketed closed town hall meetings.
Sounds like a closed stockholder meeting.
Taking cash away, for Wall Street use, which
Gives no stock back to those facing death.
Creative accounting of making more money
While taking in less until the pyramid bursts,
Leaving to the Wall Street collapse of seniors.
Nursing homes evicting them for CEO’s.
Who lavish lifestyles can now afford America,
Cities becoming the new prisons of tomorrow!
Now you know why my voice must fade.
Forced into the oblivion of who really cares!
Why Americans must be silenced in mass.
That liberal thinking is the devils work,
But last night I received another sign that
My time has not expired to change things.
The tears I felt last night were of purpose.
That a Vietnam Veteran can win the war
Having meaning with the battle of negativity.
For inside all of us are the seeds of redemption.
Flowering from the words within, reaching out,
Exploding our vocal talents to influence change.
Inner spirits gliding among enlightened heavens.
Combining angel chorus of independent rights
That Wall Street does not define America but
The ground that supports our Constitution!
Forefathers dreaming of combining the masses
Under a flag of respect for all points of view.
Redemption is in the silent majority singing.
But not in few controlling issues of division.
Race, religion, creed, culture, origin of birth,
Our redemption is as brothers and sisters.
Differing in their views, seeing spirits glow.
That comes from being born in His blessing.
We have become a country of judge and jury,
Sentencing people from the gossip and biases.
Condemning them in labels of bigotry and hate,
Tell me what religion condones this action?
Should we let heaven determine others fate?
How many people do you hate today, why?
The disease that separates is one that divides,
Then conquers by profiling others “at will”.
Mirrors cracks from feeling too human,
Yet the heartbeats keep coming alive.
From a force driving one into depression
Only to be cured with love of one another.
Redemption from words of sanity ‘n sanity,
Keeping letters flowing into words of thoughts,
Lines awakened for American dreams of hope.
Knowing without words, we will be forever lost.
Praying for others minds to challenge views
America’s future is a diversity of its opinions.
Redemption is fighting a dream, not giving up.
When every part of you says, failure lies ahead!
To take everything and lay it upon the venture,
For there is nothing to go back to, but failure.
Your creative accounting is bonded from above,
That takes stock in your unique individuality.
Who am I? Thinker, poet, American.
Who are we but a gems of creation!
Holding hands in the colors of humanity,
Nation of immense diversity of cultures,
Jewelry coming together as a country,
Where the true wealth is one of equality.
Horizon of this land needs no barriers
To terminate the flow of free speech.
Wings of thinkers must have freedom,
We have tried to instill on other lands!
Religious police need not be imported,
But respect given to all religious views.
A Liberal, some Catholics choose to hate.
A Catholic some Baptists choose to hate.
Yankee some now call, a damn Yankee.
Single man, some insist, he must be gay.
Visual vocal poet, lands of ghostwriters,
Security golden in the land of secrets.
This artist dreams of not dying in oblivion.
That observations within others blossom,
Redemption lies in America holding hands.
Concluding America is worth saving from
The diversity God has showered US with,
From the unique differences of our words,
Never fearing oblivion
but observing redemption!
