The cold weight
of the gun,
-smooth,
clean,
and almost liquid-
presents itself
as if a question,
thrown openly
into the growing darkness.
My soul reaches
towards this source
of instant mercy,
of immediate forgiveness,
as temptation
slowly rapes judgement.
Peace,
one pull away.
-Yet no escape.

i almost missed this...it is so well written and painful i can't help wondering if you aren't feeling some of this...if you are please reconsider, it is one mistake you cannot correct.

Yes, good poem explaing some of the many facets of suicide. Unless this is just a poem showing your thoughts, OK. But otherwise, seek help at once. Henry
