Geniuses, Artists & Poets

The minds of geniuses
their eyes in the stars
look about the universe
it luminous and beautiful
they surmise
philosphy has ponderance

An artist poetically wonders
They look about
and see the sky above
The spheres are universal
so their souls are struck

An artist paints masterfully
these landscapes of the mind

The minds of geniuses
their eyes upon the light
it shines to reveal them
They reach around
to spin a galaxy,

Poets can rhyme
our existence
They explore the void

An artist paints
this vast liquid ocean
with darkness
which surrounds them

These geniuses explain
and explore
this vastness
in ships made of thought

Angels of purity
travel to the center
of the universal truth
They unfurl their wings
and geniuses are rational
but the poets see
the abstract

The muse of infinity
She whispers to be
or not to be

Wow Dale!
This is really excellent.
Scuze the ordinary here but, Neat!
Landscapes of the mind...
They reach around to spin a galaxy...
Ships made of thought...
Just 3 of the many.

I think all of these things are actually rolled up into one thing; there's no denying that here.

but the poets see the abstract...i hope that never changes, its the abstract of life that keeps me sane

Well, I can say for certain that you didn't write this lovely poem about me. I am clearly not a genius and I have serious doubts that I can claim poet status.

Love the way you've shown the interplay of roles and how they are interconnected. Rational thought is only the abstract brought to mind in numbers, shapes and symbols-given a name in our crude language. Beauty Dale...

Excellent Dale, You've hit the mark here, I love that last stanza.

Doesn't she just - and to all: genius, artist and poet! And to each and every person they inspire! Love your thought processes here, Dale: well formulated and articulated, and the summation is visual and beautiful. This is noble - no question!! :)) TY Kate xx
