Marshmallow Walls Morning is over It’s high noon now There’s chattering within the walls A gathering will be soon The gooey slim of the marshmallow Oozes through our fingers Hurry! Scoop it up All must be saved for the new beginners There is not only just us To lay in the ruins of rust Get the chrome polish out We’ll sing and dance about Slip those thoughts that seep through the cracks And hope to hell the rusty ones will be back Yes…we miss the little twigs and rugged trees Who were the fathers, the busy little bees? I use to belong to one of the lost forever poetry sites, but I had met a lot of wonderful poets there and now they are here. aint little marshmallows great in hot chocolate?
