~ The Hair of the Dog ~

A night on the town, dinner and dancing,
Highballs, champagne and wine.
Enjoying a wonderful evening of fun,
Romantically wined and dined.

A special occasion perhaps, maybe not,
No matter the reason to play.
There’s no doubt about it, "the hair of the dog",
Is what you’ll be need’in next day.

If you’re not familiar, with this simple phrase,
Please allow me, to fill you in.
If you drank a dozen martini’s last night,
The dog bit you, with a bottle of Gin.

The hair represents, symbolically speaking,
Your previous cocktail de’ jour.
Follow these steps, to recoup from his bite,
Run directly to the nearest liquor store.

Not for your bar, to restock what you drank,
But to chill and have one, straight up.
It may take two or three, before you start to see,
The hair of the dog’s, just a pup.

A little dog hair never hurt anybody. A lot of dog hair, on the other hand...

Yeah that works and I have heard that before
so I often wondered exactly what it meant. ;)
No hangovers for me since I no longer touch
the dog or his hair. lol Serious, though I
found I never did need the stuff.
