I could talk to you

For hours

About nothing,

And it didn't matter

What I said

You would listen to me

Intently

Smiling

As only a Nonna could.

You could sit there

Sharing stories

Of when you were youung

Stories of nickel ice creams

And silent movies

That cost a nickel.

You talked about

Horse and buggies

And trips to the grocers

And a million memories

That were sometimes captured

In black and white pictures.

This is lovely and loving, Michelle. I could talk with my Nonna for hours, too, and there are few greater blessings than this.
