I have been seeking peace in remembering,
The pieces of our lives I am assembling;
As I accept I find myself surrendering;
Though I was the baby of us all,
There are so many things a
child can retain then recall;
Among the Giants by my side , in my early life,
You stood so tall;
The Book of us never had a page ,
to define any difference in our age;
Never apart in separate phases!
You were almost ten when I was born,
The ties that bond you began to form;
Bonds too pure and strong to be broken,
All the tender things you'd said when not a
word was spoken.
It's no surprise mom let you name me,
Your mind had such a beautiful range,
and your heart an ardent flame!
Our wonder years once made you cry
You'd traced each event and every step,
What seemed like perfect days are memories
We really loved to live our lives so alive
we hardly ever slept!
As I was coming up and you were grown,
It seemed like you'd always be departing
on some new journey all your own;
You'd leave and I'd forget , then
you'd reappear as quickly as you'd left:
You're my favorite blessing-
Then came the morning I'll never forget\\'',
My sister was taken up as she slept,
That I wasn't there I will always regret;
All in a moment I broke down and wept,
one most really appreciate every minute of life
because it's all we get!
She's never far from me now,
I feel her so strongly still somehow;
I know I'm never alone and I live in hope
of seeing her again...when Jesus calls me home!
