~ The Mean Time ~

Violence fills the air, on streets forbidden pass.
Territory claimed in battle, fought on shattered glass.
Youngsters armed to kill another, in retaliation,
Alien to society’s rules, heart of a new generation.

Dare I compare this world in despair to the past?
Eons gone by, still victory drives human mass.
Mans changes are small, if any at all, I can find.
Raging wars all along, commencing inception of time.

Earth’s beauty lost, in humanity’s vigorous plight,
Shrouding our globe, obscuring a spiritual light.
Ungratified ego’s… in spite of blood spilled in vain,
Evolution defied, in human’s ridiculous games.

I appreciate this deeply. Much of my own thoughts here.
We evolve from spears to bombs, not much progress in that.
Good to see you writing.
