“Devastation”

Through all the agony

And all the pain

Devastation

When no one beside yourself

Ever read your work or care

For what you even think

I have reached

The ultimate state of mind

No matter what might be

The warmth and love

I get and feel inside

By reading your poetry

Your literary work

The only thing

That keeps me sane

Because in my mind

I know it is real

We sit here for hours

Exchanging

Our thoughts in verse

All part of a big show…

Of the heart I know

We keep penning new stories

Articles and poems

Even a few ideas

But all still

About life

Tinka,
I've asked myself over and over again in the last few months, Why I can't just throw the pen down and walk away? I still don't have that answer...so I'll continue the search.
This is an awesome write my Friend...

What a deeply moving testimony to value and power of shared creative vision. Among the old questions regarding poetry is whether or not it really matters. Lines such as these demonstrate that it does in the most real and significant ways. Thank you. And Peace:-)

Aaah, Tinka, often times we do not write what people want to read. The most important thing is who strongly and compassionate you feel about what you write. When that passion consumes you, you are elated that you have satisfied yourself. Keep writing, do not despair.
Beautiful poem I must say.

True...but the writing is the most important. It feeds us more than the reader. Well done and said, Tinka.
