Humans tend to project their worst traits, that are proof of appalingly twisted instincts, onto animals... Dog fights, bull fights, rooster fights... all sordid reflections of frustration, and repulsive demonstrations of cowardice. Pitiful!
Bless the truly brave, like you, my friend.

man has a very long way to go ... hopefully, as time goes by, more concerned individuals as yourself can enlighten us to and reinforce the insane cruelty of such acts ... i work in a neighborhood where chicken fights are common ... much gambling goes down ...

I guess...we have cock fights here in Arizona. It is hard to imagine the mindset or the cruelty...geesh!

answer for this one day! Excellent write Ed, as always!

Yes...I agree. For the sport of man, innocent animals suffer--thank you for being their champion with this excellent write.

We are tightening laws here against dog fighting and the prosecutors are winning convictions. I hate fighting animals. No they do not deserve this.

Any act such as this I have been disgusted by since I first learnt about it through TV shows and newspapers. To turn one animal upon another through starvation or upbringing I am sure will bring a penalty that is high in the price of karma. Now I'll read the article. This is just my first gut reaction.
