Iíve been dis-appointed,
stripped of position and personal effects,
removed abruptly from fellowship of the saints,
sent packing and held back with the sign of the cross
I hold dear.

Iíve been dis-illusioned,
rudely awakened from the dream of reconciliation,
jolted with the reality of the corruption of the human soul,
forced headfirst to see the looking glass is covered with grime,
clouded through.

Iíve been dis-enchanted,
blindfolded by mates and made to walk the plank,
weighted by the void of unnamed sin you tied Ďround my neck,
sunk into the abyss where the forgotten rot. There will be no
recompense.

Iíve been dis-mayed,
dis-membered, dis-assembled, dis-believed. Believe you me,
Iím more than annoyed. So I implore you, disregard my anger
for this stretch. Take it for what it is: a bit of poetic
dis-tension.

Brilliant, Dawn, and I can understand something of what you express here. Grace is most sadly lacking sometimes amongst those who profess its gospel. Spiritually, we are dis-eased, perhaps, but, like The Man said, I came for those who know they are sick, not for those who think themselves well. Know that you are, and always will be, in the Best company! LOL Kate xx
