Dream World

~Dream World ~

Drifting into that void

a dream world that is in-between

conscious thought

and fragmented remembrances

Old memories come flooding in

to mingle with the new

tangling in a downward spiral

Thoughts of your new dreams

get pushed aside when you are helpless

not on guard

the old ones come knocking

tantalizing, taunting, teasing you again

Those dreams you hold at bay

creep in like

lost lovers from before

invading, interfering blending

with your current ones

Confusing longing for what was

with a hunger for what could be

as you struggle to differentiate

between fragmented dreams images

and reality

Knowing that dreams

can’t keep you warm at night

or answer passions call

as your subconscious tries to awake

escaping

this disconcerting dream world

On a deep dive through the sea of imagination, "Dream World"
depicts the emotions and the feelings of a
psycho-physiological dream.

I have learned from the reading of "Dream World". It offers an intriguing, enchanting reading.

Long Blissful Creative Life, Poet!
