The dead of night

Swallowed by magic

Covered stars, endless fog

A place where time is no more

Until the battle is over

A brilliant flash of fire lights the way

Its source sends malice from his own heart

The haze parts, only to reveal the dread

Intent bolts forward, smiting the hand

And blocking the blast of hatred

Fury flies, burning the fog

Eating at the darkness

Both staffs hit the ground

Two wizards bow.

This is a very good piece of fantasy based verse. It is also a good analogy for a relationship in conflict. All in all, this is good.
