|You bring back many memories with this wonderful touching write, I remember as a kid catching a few fireflys and putting them into a clear glass jar and watching the magic of their lights going on and off and then I would set them free. I don't know what has killed their population off but here in Long Island N.Y. I rarely see them anymore.|

|alexandre makes a good point ... when i was a child fireflies were abundant in the summer months ... now i rarely see any ... you bring them back to life for me in this wonderful poem ...|

|wow, this was really good. i especially liked the 7th section (shining light from within...). it's sad that fireflies are becoming endangered on the east coast, i miss them somethin fierce.
