Common Heart

Each day I’m given life begins anew
With all it means to be in love with you.
No matter what the burdens or the cares
I’ve lived to see God answer all my prayers.

For all I knew my heart so filled with love
Was looking for an angel from above,
And all throughout the journey near and far
I lived to find the miracle you are.

The dearest friends who knew us understood
And beckoned me to reach you if I could.
It shocked me deeply they could even know
The dream of you would touch and haunt me so.

With thoughts of you my heart would have to try
If there was any hope that you and I
Together could embrace our common ground,
But Heaven watched aglow at what we found.

Such miracles that men no longer say
Came true for us in every single way.
With healing love that misses not a part
Of two sweet souls who share a common heart.
