“This Emptiness Inside”

I feel this huge emptiness

As loneliness burns inside of me

As tears starts to fall like rain

I told myself… that you will be okay!

But I still let the tears fall

To drain myself from emotions deep

This was the middle of the day

Sitting by this “Old Fathers” clock

Looking across the room

Through window

Came sunray warm

A picture of serenity for sure

But deep inside my head

Thoughts deep holding back

What difference does it make?

If no other than me

Can tell this story

Time passing slow… I worry

Then signs of day

Giving place to night

I whisper some love word

Hoping they will reach you

Comfort you wherever you are

And with this emptiness inside

I pull myself back from this dark place

To be with you

This is very sad, Tinka; I wish I could say that I cannot relate to it but it just is not so. I know that of which you write. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace to you. Regis

I know to well these feelings but I could never capture them so well as you have in this verse. It is not always what we show on the outside and to the world what we actually feel and keep hidden away from all but the closest people we know. Hugs,
