A feeble attempt at humor, sorry...

An Aching in my Head…

My head does ache in the back,

Pain pills and time I do lack,

The campground filled with noisy brats,

Running amuck like so many hungry little rats…

Parents and kids playing baseball,

Fire rings cooking, cell phones blasting out calls,

And all the time I do wish for the weekdays,

No noise, no one to me bother, therein I can stay in a daze…

American flags celebrating the holiday,

Never enough sleep for me I have to say,

RUFUZ outside on the leash,

The crowds wouldn’t be so bad,

If for my head I had some hashish…

My idea of "roughing it" is a hotel without concierge service. Children are delightful if you par-boil them before putting them on the spit.

You need to find a piece of land for your trailer :-) ...away from the crowds, where nature becomes the pain killer.

HO HO HO!!! Doubt you'll find any among the brat pack, baseball, and barbeque crowd, my friend.
